Assassin’s Creed Comet Details Emerge

It was just last week when we brought you news of Assassin’s Creed Unity. Now details for the PS3/Xbox 360 version are beginning to emerge from the French website Gameblog (translated here).

Titled Assassin’s Creed Comet, the version for the last-gen consoles is to be set around the year 1758. Some sources indicate that the setting will be part on the Atlantic Ocean, continuing the Black Flag nautical theme, and around New York and the Eastern coast of the United States of America. The emerging details also indicate that the game will star a character named Shay who may have some ties to the Templars.

Also, as we reported earlier, the release of Assassin’s Creed Comet is slated for only the PS3 and Xbox 360. No word yet, however, on if the game will be on PC along with Unity. While there will be critics of Ubisoft for milking the franchise, it would be wise to hold judgement until after the actual release. Ubisoft does happen to have a pretty decent track record for multiple design teams that can create some very detailed and feature rich games.

We’ll be sure to bring you the latest as concrete details are released. I don’t expect we’ll have to wait long if Ubisoft treats this in anyway like they did for Unity.
