Ooooh look, the moon!

What that what is a pre-sequel? Well, this newest release will act to tie Borderlands and Borderlands 2 story lines together. As with other Borderlands releases, you’ll get four new character classes, who will actually fight along side the aforementioned Handsome Jack. Basically, you’ll be there to witness he transformation into a Vault Hunter’s worst nightmare and help bring about the rise of the Hyperion Corporation. As with the Assassin’s Creed series, you might be asking where’s this new game going to be set? Well, the moon of course, or Pandora’s moon to be exact.

Details on the playable characters are a bit light at this time, but they are actually characters from some portion of Borderlands or Borderlands 2. The newest class for Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel is the Fragtrap. That’s right, you can now play as your favorite hunk of metal, Claptrap with a gun. And of course, the arsenal for this game just wouldn’t be right without LASERS!!!!

No release date has been set other than sometime Fall 2014. What has been said is that Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel will NOT be a next-gen game, with releases only for PS3, Xbox 360 and PC. Check back here for the latest news and updates as they come out!
