Daniel Radcliffe has been doing his very best since the end of the worldwide mega franchise Harry Potter came to a close in 2012 to show that he’s more than just The Boy Who Lived. From the intense horror film The Woman in Black to the critically acclaimed Kill Your Darlings, not to mention his revealing turn in the broadway production of Equus (though that was in 2008), he’s shown a wide range of ability beyond the fantastical. At Comic-Con this weekend, fans have been treated to a new look at his next film from director Alexandre Aja, which has already been garnering much praise for Radcliffe’s disturbing transformation within his performance.
Take a look at the trailer below for the story of Ig Perrish, a young man who undergoes a violent and dark change after the locals in his town blames him for the murder of his girlfriend, even seeing the young man grow a pair of devilish horns. The trailer features plenty of disturbing sequences and dark imagery, and shows a side of Radcliffe we haven’t seen before. He even manages to pull off a pretty good American accent. Horns is due out on Halloween 2014 and also stars Juno Temple.
