Continuity is a big problem with comics and, in some situations, movies. DC Animated Universe, which has been making stellar animated movies since 2007’s Superman: Doomsday, has decided that will not be a problem going forward. Today the much anticipated animated movie, Justice League: War, will begin a standard continuity that will tie in all DCA films from here on. According to the DCA suits, the goal is to create three films a year in which two of the three will follow the same continuity from War with the third standing outside of those storylines. The films on tap for this year are the aforementioned War with Son of Batman to follow in that same timeline. Batman: Assault on Arkham will be the stand alone and takes place during the events of the Batman: Arkham video games.
This is good news for DC and comics fans; hopefully this will get DC’s ducks in a row and get them to start getting all of their continuity ducks in a row…but only time will tell. Look for the review of Justice League: War this week on free4geeks.com!
