Sonic has had a rough go of it in the past decade or so. Sonic Boom, Sega’s latest foray into bringing Sonic back to the forefront, is coming this November to the 3DS and WiiU. This game will also fulfill the three game contract between Nintendo and Sega after the release of Sonic: The Lost World and the Mario & Sonic at the Sochi Winter Olympics. There is no doubt that Sonic continues to sell well, but the speedy mammal hasn’t had a critical success since Sonic and the Dark Brotherhood on the GBA. Here’s hoping that Sega can grab another mix of critical and commercial success with Sonic Boom.
Sonic Boom will also be releasing in conjuncture to the brand new Sonic Boom television show that will air this fall on the Cartoon Network. The show, which has already completed 52 episodes, will tie in to the game and vice versa. Here’s some screens and a game trailer from this past week’s E3 event. And, for your viewing pleasure, we’ve also included a TV show trailer. Have at it!
