Games With Gold Makes Its Way To The Xbox One

Many of the changes that have come to the Xbox One since launch have been as a result of feedback from consumers. One feature that many Xbox One owners were hoping for, Games with Gold, is finally coming.

Halo: Spartan Assault was released for the 360 and One, now you can own it for free on Xbox One.

As is customary, Microsoft releases two free games per month on the Xbox 360 console for Xbox Live Gold members. For June, these titles will be Dark Souls (available from the 1st to the 15th) followed by Charlie Murder (from the 16th through the 30th). Super Street Fighter IV: Arcade Edition will be  a bonus title available as well.

What is different about June is that Microsoft is going to be releasing two games to Gold members on the Xbox One. Those titles will be Halo: Spartan Assault and Max: The Curse of Brotherhood. The exact availability of each game has not been released yet, but Microsoft says that details are coming soon. That brings the total over $100 worth of free games between the two systems.

Max: The Curse of Brotherhood will be joining Halo for Games with Gold on the Xbox One.

The Games with Gold system on the Xbox One will be similar to that on the Playstation Network – the games will only be available as long as your subscription is active. The Xbox 360 program will not be changed, games will be available as long as they are initially downloaded during the promo period.

Microsoft has been listening. Now, what games would you like to see on either console?
