HBO Plans To Bring ‘Shutter Island’ To TV

Reports are coming out that HBO is developing the 2010 Martin Scorcese film, Shutter Island, into a series for television! At this moment it will be called Ashecliff, which if you remember, was the name of the mental hospital from the movie.  The show will apparently dive into the history of the facility that messed with Leonardo Dicaprio’s mind in the film.

Dennis Lehane, who wrote the book the film is based on, will pen the pilot episode and Martin Scorcese will direct.  I am absolutely all in with the concept of this movie to be made into a show!  However, no tentative dates as of yet, but be assured that we here at Free For All will keep you updated with any developments from Ashecliff!
