We’ve been speculating on what the actual title for Zack Snyder’s Man of Steel follow-up and lead-in to the Justice League was going to be titled every since it was revealed to also feature Batman at San Diego Comic Con last year. The film that has been referred to as Batman vs Superman for a year has seen it’s fair share of news articles including the announcement of characters such as Wonder Woman and Cyborg being cast, prompting fans to speculate that Man of Steel 2 was actually simply Justice League in disguise. Most recently, Ben Affleck’s Batman was revealed, along with the news that Justice League would be helmed by Snyder as a follow-up to Man of Steel 2, and would release sometime around 2018.
This morning, the title was finally revealed, along with the films one-sheet, featuring the official logo’s for Batman and Superman clashing as only these two iconic images can. Man of Steel 2 is now officially titled Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice. Dawn of Justice happens to be a very on-the-nose title, pretty much guaranteeing that this film was as close to being The Justice League as possible, however, having a title does help to put some of the speculation to rest. Batman V. Superman is set to start filming in Detroit soon, and stars Henry Cavill, Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jeremy Irons, Jesse Eisenberg and Amy Adams.
