Marvel Releases “Astonishing” Concept Art

Marvel, via Entertainment Weekly has just revealed the first official photo from Avengers: Age of Ultron, and some new concept art showcasing some new, and old heroes. Check it out!

In the art from Avengers: Age of Ultron we see Iron Man and newcomer Scarlet Witch duking it out with some of Ultron’s robotic army

Then on the cover of the latest issue of Entertainment Weekly, we get our first look at the main villain, Ultron, alongside Captain America and Iron Man.

ultron18f-1-webIn the issue’s interview with director Joss Whedon, we learn what many have been suspecting about the big bad Ultron, that he is a creation of Tony Stark’s that has gone rogue.

And in what could possibly be the most exciting piece of concept art released just in time for Comic-Con, is a concept poster for Marvel’s troubled Ant-Man project.

After eight years in development, and a recent parting of ways with fanboy favorite director Edgar Wright, many were beginning to doubt Marvel’s ability to bring such an obscure character to the big screen. This poster puts to bed those doubts. With a sleek new suit, Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) mounts an ant and looks all sorts of bad ass!
