Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire Remakes Announced

Publishing giant Nintendo has announced today that the 2003 smash hit’s Pokemon Ruby and Pokemon Sapphire will be making their way to the company’s Nintendo 3DS handheld console this November in the form of Pokemon Omega Ruby and Pokemon Alpha Sapphire.  This is not a new move by the Japanese developer, as nearly every prior release of the Pokemon series has seen an update in recent years, though it’s worth nothing that Ruby and Sapphire are two of the higher selling games in the lucrative franchises storied history.

No further details have been announced outside of the tentative cover art seen above, though we can expect more info in the coming months as Nintendo heads toward it’s unique and controversial E³ plans in early June.  Stay tuned to Free4Geeks.com as the information becomes available.
