Raiden Revealed for Mortal Kombat X

During the finals for Injustice: Gods Among Us, at Evo 2014, Ed Boone and the team revealed Raiden for the upcoming Mortal Kombat X. We’ve heard about the different styles that are being used for each character, and Boone himself detailed how those different styles will work for Raiden in an interview with IGN. The Displacer Raiden focuses mostly on his teleportation abilities, Storm Lord Raiden can use balls of electricity placed in the air and connected together for a new and uniques style of play, and Thundergod Raiden focuses on bigger electricity moves to wrap up combos. Raiden’s reveal also came with the discovery that the story, which has been said to take place 25 years after the events of Mortal Kombat 9, will tell of events as early as 5 years after MK9.
