Transformers 5 Announced for 2016

Thought we were coming to a close on those Michael Bay robots in disguise?  Well think again!  Paramount Pictures released their upcoming 2016 slate earlier this morning, and the biggest new addition to the already crowded year is the sequel to this month’s Transformers: Age of Extinction.  Simply listed as Transformers 5, nothing else is known about the next installment, though it is expected director Michael Bay will be back once again, along with Mark Wahlberg, who is taking over the starring role in the franchise in the absence of Shia Lebeouf, who starred in the first three films in the series.

Other movies on the official slate include the long-gestating Beverly Hills Cop 4, G.I. Joe 3, Paranormal Activity 5 and most importantly, Star Trek 3.  We will continue to update all of these projects and any more Paramount announces as their releases approach, Transformers: Age of Extinction releases June 27, be sure to head back to that week for our official review.
