Xbox One Supports Eight Controllers

According to an update today on Microsoft’s product information page today, the Xbox One will support up to eight controllers at launch.

While this has the potential to be great news, do keep in mind that its meaningless until devs take advantage of it. The PlayStation 3 for example, has supported up to seven controller since its launch in 2006 and virtually no support has been shown for it. There’s also the hefty $420 price tag that would come with outfitting your new system with seven extra controllers.
